Charlotte and Liam bought new furniture!!

Well, let us just catch you up quick. A friend of ours (through church) works for Brownwood ISD and has a co worker who is retiring this year. Upon retiring she is moving far away and selling everything in her house.

This woman has one grandchild (a girl) and the little girl had an entire bedroom in the grandma's house. She is now 8 years old and for several reasons, the grandma wanted to get rid of all her stuff.
So, She sold us everything in the bedroom, for $100. The bed, bedding(two sets of sheets, still in the packaging), a large mirror, head/foot board, quilt rack, a table/chairs set, a toybox, and about 4 trashbags full of toys. We are so excited. Apparently the little girl only actually

slept in the bed two or three times!

We put the furniture up in Charlotte and Liam's room and they really liked it. Charlotte is excited to sleep in her new bed tonight. (We'll let you know how that goes in future posts.)

A Cupcake for our Cupcake!

We had a baby shower here last weekend for someone from church. I held aside a couple of cupcakes for the kids to eat afterwards.

Liam studied it for a few minutes and then grabbed it, (on the frosting side, of course) and took a tiny little nibble.

He decided he liked it so he wolfed it down. He also tried to share it with us, which was sweet, and disgusting!

I thought this last picture was so adorable. He loves to smile for the camera.

A Relaxing Night at Home!

The kids were cracking us up this evening. We put in their favorite movie and they both walked over and sat down on their little couch. We thought it was so cute the way they were lounging on it. So I started taking pictures.

Charlotte noticed the camera and gave Liam a kiss. She is such a ham.


Liam also noticed we were taking pictures. He put his arm around Charlotte and looked at the camera and smiled. (So cute) Then he reached over and hugged her.

It has taken a little while. But in the last couple of months they have become best friends. They play/wrestle/and snuggle with each other. It's especially endearing to watch them try to comfort each other during times of "crisis". They make such good friends/siblings.

Happy Mother's Day

We just wanted to say Happy Mothers Day to any moms who read this! We will be spending the day going to church and playing at the park. (Maybe Brian can cook dinner?)

Anyway, hope your day is special and you can relax and really appreciate your children, and your mommies too!

Charlotte's First Haircut!

I know, two posts in one day. We're obsessed. Tonight, Charlotte recieved her first hair cut. She was a good girl and after it was over she was so excited to show her daddy her "pitty hair". The picture to the left is a before picture.

Two Little Monkies

I just wanted to quick post these pictures of the kids on our walk today. They were hungry so I bought them a couple of bananas and they looked so cute eating them. After our pit stop we went to the park and played for a while and then came home for a nap.
