Random Summer

It seems like every season, we say to ourselves that we're going to take it easy, and avoid traveling, etc. And every season we end up doing more than we intended. But we have fun so that's ok. But I swear, this fall/winter, we aren't doing anything....

Tall Ships

Brian and my dad (Steve) got a tour of the Bounty.

The Bounty was used to film Pirates of the Caribbean.

My mom, sister and the kids and I walked around a ridiculously busy, narrow mass of people and got to the see the ships from a distance.

Spring 2010

Liam climbed up on the counter, struck a pose, and said 'Mom, take my picture.' How could I refuse, this is hilarilous. Note the 'Cars' Underwear.

As the weather warmed up we took the kids out every chance we could. Here we are at old UMD.
Charlotte posing for senior photos.

Decorating the Easter Tree.

Liam fell asleep like this. So cute.

Preping the Garden.

Liam and Charlotte made an Easter cake with Grandma Bridget.

Waiting to start a nature hike.

Here is the tile in our entry way. Also, a dresser I bought at Good Will. I plan to paint it and use it as a night stand. But, the tile was the big project.

Below: Brian ripping out tile.
We were going to put in black granite and white marble, but we ended up deciding to put in wood floor up to the entryway threshold and then restore the original tile that was underneath.

Also: We painted the stairs! This is a side view from before.

When we moved in, the stairs were covered in green carpet. We ripped up the carpet and decided to paint the stairs a rich brown and cream.
Below: Before

Below: AFTER!!! Still needs another coat and some touch up.
Below: Bridget worked really hard making trim for the bathroom in the attic. Tonight we're hoping to finish up the drywall, paint and put in the new toilet!
